The Rhythm of the Sea
The ocean swell lifts and carries you as your kayak gently glides past sculpted sea caves and towering headlands. Through the mist you can hear the musical resonance of a whale sounding. At low tide the rocks are bejeweled with the rich colors of anemones and bat sea stars in violet, crimson, and acquamarine. Camp beneath the majestic old growth canopy and be lulled to sleep by the evening cries of oystercatchers, awakening to each new day filled with the promise of Gwaii Haanas’ rich diversity.
The Mount Moresby Adventure Camp is a base from which to explore so much of what Haida Gwaii has to offer. Our Eco Tours focus on the world renowned Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve on the southern half of the island where by sea kayak we explore ancient Haida village sites, rocky headlands, estuaries and coves.

Our 10 day adventures start and finish at the comfortable base camp located on the shores of Mosquito Lake. Here, beginner and experienced kayakers alike can hone their kayaking skills and get to know the guides and fellow travelers before heading out to the ocean. The trip finishes with a final feast at the base camp and leaves you with new friends, lifetime memories, and a deep connection with the land and sea.
